About Us

Welcome to the Arborg Skating Club! We operate out of the Arborg & District Arena, offering programs from October to March. Our club is a vibrant figure skating community, dedicated to promoting the sport through Skate Canada programs, including CanSkate, Pre-Power Skate, Adult and Tots, STAR Skate, and Intro to STAR.

We are proud to host various events including our flagship event, Carnival”!

A passionate team of volunteers runs the Arborg Skating Club and employs only Skate Canada-certified coaches to ensure the highest quality instruction for all our programs. We also rely on dedicated program assistants who play a crucial role in running our CanSkate program. These are students who volunteer their time, and their efforts can count towards earning school credits. Our program assistants, who are often former skaters themselves, work closely with the coaches, providing valuable support, especially when our youngest skaters are on the ice. Their involvement ensures that each skater receives the attention and guidance they need to succeed and enjoy their time on the ice.

Our team is committed to fostering a love for figure skating and helping skaters of all ages and levels achieve their goals.

Our Head Coach

Beth Ralko began her personal skating career with the Arborg Skating club in 2001 and continued skating with various clubs and coaches in the interlake until 2012. Beth then spent two years in the competitive figure skating program at Shattuck St. Mary’s School. Through this experience she was able to train with and mentor under various world level coaches from around the world. Beth ended her personal skating career competing singles at the junior level and having passed her gold dance and skills test.

Beth is a NCCP Regional certified figure skating coach and has been coaching the CanSkate and STAR Skate programs for over 10 years. She also found a new interest in coaching synchronized skating. Her love of teaching and working with children led her to completing her Bachelor’s of Physical and Health Education and is actively coaching skating at multiple clubs in Manitoba. Her philosophy is to create a fun and positive learning experience that equips skaters to develop their skating skills to a point that they can enjoy skating as a lifelong skill or to take it to a competitive level.
